What the birth chart actually shows

A birth chart (kundli) is a map of the sky at your exact date, time and place of birth. In career astrology, three elements matter most: the 10th house (the house of career and profession, also called the Karma Bhava), the planets placed in or aspecting that house, and the current planetary period (dasha) a person is running through. How this is different from an aptitude test

An aptitude test measures how you perform today, under test conditions, on a fixed set of tasks.
