Who we are

NEET Mentor Hub is an educational guidance platform operated by Kumar Amitabh (Orchid Foundation) to help students from North-East India navigate NEET UG/PG admissions. Our website is neetmentorhub.com.

What information we collect

When you book a counselling session

We collect the following information from the booking form:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Home state (optional)
  • NEET score and year (optional)
  • Session type and preferred time
  • Message (optional)

If you choose to make a contribution through Razorpay, your payment is processed directly by Razorpay. We do not store your full card or UPI details. We only receive a payment confirmation with an order ID and payment ID from Razorpay.

When you take a free mock test

When you take a free mock test, we compute a hashed, non-identifying signal from your browser (such as screen size, timezone and browser version) combined with your network address, solely to detect misuse of free test attempts — for example, repeatedly creating new accounts from the same device to bypass the free-attempt limit. We never store your raw IP address, and this signal is never used for advertising, profiling or any purpose beyond preventing free-trial abuse.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics (GA4) and/or Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use our website. This may involve cookies and tracking technologies. The data collected is anonymised and used to improve the website. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How we use your information

  • To confirm and schedule your counselling session
  • To contact you via WhatsApp or email regarding your session
  • To process payment confirmation through Razorpay
  • To improve our website and services

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party.

Data storage and security

Your booking information is stored securely in a Supabase database (hosted by Supabase Inc., with servers in the European Union or US depending on configuration). Access is restricted to authorised administrators. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

Cookies

When you first visit our website, a cookie banner asks you to accept or reject analytics cookies. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel — if configured — only run after you accept; nothing loads before that. You can change your choice at any time using the 'Cookie Preferences' link in the footer, or by controlling cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time — this is as easy as giving it, and does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before withdrawal

To exercise any of these rights, email us at amitabh@assam.org.

How long we keep your data

We keep your booking information for as long as needed to provide the counselling session and to meet our own record-keeping and legal obligations — typically up to 3 years from your last interaction with us, or until you request deletion, whichever is earlier. Payment records required for tax or accounting purposes may be retained longer where Indian law requires it.

Children and minors

NEET UG eligibility begins at 17, so some visitors booking a session may be minors under Indian law (below 18). Where a booking is made by or on behalf of a minor, we treat it as made with the knowledge and involvement of a parent or guardian, and the parent or guardian is responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted and for consenting on the minor's behalf. We do not knowingly use a minor's data for behavioural monitoring, tracking or targeted advertising.

Grievance Officer

If you have a complaint or concern about how we collect, use or protect your personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can reach our Grievance Officer directly:

  • Name: Kumar Amitabh (Grievance Officer)
  • Email: amitabh@assam.org
  • Acknowledgement: within 24 hours
  • Resolution: within 15 days

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India as provided under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
